Ceramic cutting insert is widely used for machining steel parts (mainly steel, such as high manganese steel, hardened steel etc); mainly used in roughing, semi finishing and finishing.

New developed grade of RCGX ceramic insert shows excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, high toughness and good resistance to plastic deformation because of the additional metal elements.

Compared with conventional ceramic materials, the composite tool material has higher strength and fracture toughness, so the indexable turning insert processing range has been extended from finishing and semi finishing to rough machining.

The grade has higher temperature resistance than conventional CBN. It is suitable for turning application for cast iron, hardened steel, at high speed hard turning
