Hydro Cylinder Machining
Hydro cylinder machining is a process in which a cylinder body is machined. The main processes used for this type of machining include rough boring, semi-precision boring, floating boring, and rolling processes. The main components of this machining process include an iron-bearing, bearing seat, and boring tool. The cutting speed and feed rate of the cylinder are controlled by the adjustment of the boring tool.
Hydraulic cylinders are made from steel tubes, which are usually made of carbon steel. The process of hydro-cylinder machining involves the removal of unwanted material from these cylinders. A high-quality cylinder is a key component in hydraulic pumps. The barrels are also made from stainless steel or annealed steel.
The different steel grades used to make these cylinders are available in the market. Some companies produce hydro cylinders from Cr40 steel, while others use #20 steel. These two types of steel have different levels of hardness. In general higher-grade hydraulic cylinders have higher hardness and can work at higher pressure.
Hydro cylinders usually consist of a cylinder body, piston rod, and seal. These components have varying requirements for surface roughness, shape tolerances, and position tolerances. In addition, manufacturing tolerances can affect the seal's function. Hydro cylinders require highly precise tolerances, so the process of hydro-cylinder machining must be done in the correct manner.
After the piston and rod have been machined, they need to be quenched, tempered, and heat-treated. These processes ensure the piston is hard and reliable. After this, the rod is attached to the piston with bolts and nuts. The piston rod is then assembled in a fitting section.
