Tungsten Carbide Skiving Insert

Skiving operation is also named as internal peeling, so it shows similar technical requirement and processing as bar peeling insert, its main application is cylinder inner wall. The pipe skiving insert in skiving and roller burnishing tool is mainly used for skiving process to produce fine finish on the cylinder inner wall; the tungsten carbide insert material demonstrates better wear resistance and tenacity; especially suitable for heat-resistant steel, stainless steel and other difficult-to-machines materials. Also, it applies in semi-finish and finish machining of general purpose steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals etc. Coating applied on this skiving insert is CVD; coating works better on the existing base material.

The main component material used on the carbon steel and 27SiMn.
