BTA (boring and trepanning Association) deep hole drilling technology is widely used in aerospace, military, petroleum, machinery and other industries. In the process of deep hole drilling, the guide block plays the role of guiding, supporting the tool, balancing the cutting force and extruding and polishing the machined surface. The structure, position distribution, size parameters and coating treatment of the guide block have a great influence on the performance of the guide block of BTA Deep hole drill. The brazed carbide guide pad is 2 pieces of carbide tips brazing on the steel; its strength lies in lower cost; the solid coated carbide guide pad is made of full tungsten carbide material, it shows better finish in certain applications.
